Puppy School
Puppies are SO adorable and they bring so much joy but they are also A LOT of work.
In order to curb the unwanted behaviors AND tackle the foundational lessons essential to raising a happy and well-adjusted dog, Puppy School was created!
Puppy School is not your average basic obedience course. Puppy School is a comprehensive training program, created specifically for puppies. The first learning steps are so crucial to the proper development of dogs.
Our Puppy School Program is the best of both worlds… it allows your puppy to go to “school” and learn with us during the day and stay in their own bed, home with you at night. This option can decrease stress levels and allow for more bonding time.
What We Teach:
- 5 Fundamental Cues- Place, Recall/Come, Leave It, Down & Sit
- General Manners/Polite Behavior- Such as impulse control, deterring jumping, asking politely, earning rewards, etc.
- Doorway Manners– Deterring bolting out of doors and having good manners when going in and out of doors.
- Proper Socialization Skills– Puppy School pups not only learn how to play with other dogs but also learn social cues, boundaries, and body language. Your pup will gain confidence through positive interactions.
- Enrichment Activities– To promote mental stimulation and problem-solving skills. We include fun activities such as puzzles, snuffle mats, lick mats, games, toy time etc.
How it Works:
- Your pup will come to class and spend the day with us Monday-Thursday (9am-4pm), for 3 weeks. *Early drop off and late pick up can be arranged.
- Your pup will receive structured training sessions throughout the day, as well as guided socialization time.
- We also include vital downtime so puppies can rest between lessons and socialization sessions.
- Our accelerated learning model, fun drills, and repetitions help to maximize learning AND retention.
- Daily report cards are sent out at the end of each day to keep you in the loop on your pup’s progress so you can follow along with their daily learning and implement the lessons at home.
- The 4th week, “Implementation Week” is a guided practice week at home to make sure everything is properly translating to the home and in your daily life.
What’s Included:
- 4 Weeks of Instruction… 3 weeks in class, Monday-Thursday & 1 Week of guided practice at home, ending with an In-Person Transfer Training Session.
- Access to a library filled with homework, informational handouts, supplemental resources, etc.
- Pre-recorded how-to videos for reinforced learning
- PLUS: 2 “transfer” training sessions to make sure the training has translated to your home and to answer questions

VACCINATION REQUIRMENTS
All dogs must be current on the following vaccinations:
- Canine Influenza
- Leptospirosis
- Distemper/Parvo (DHPP/DH2PP)
- Bordetella (kennel cough)
- Rabies
We ask that vaccinations do not lapse while your pup is attending our program(s). It is the customer’s responsibility to keep your pets up to date with vaccinations and provide Pack Pawsitive with a copy of all updated vaccination records. Thank you!
